Introductory seminar:
Architecture in typography.
When thinking of the world of typography the connection with architecture is not evident for most people. With the term ‘architecture’ we do not wish to refer to housing solutions, the building industry or engineering but to that universe of relations which exists between form and content. By way of the reading of the book titled Giustizia e bellezza [Justice and Beauty] by Luigi Zoja we have been able to understand that the relationship between these two fields is necessary in order to create the equilibrium of the form.

Seminar: Architecture
in typography
Following the introductory seminar on architecture in typography, an optional course of “graphic design II” was offered, which aimed at developing and deepening the work of the seminar. As a support of these developments, the magazine TM-RSI-STM (Typografische Monatsblätter) was chosen, since its original concept reflected the subjects dealt with in the course. Moreover, its actual graphical layout appeared convenient for an innovative restyling in terms of ethics and esthetics approached in the book by Luigi Zoja.
