With passion, here is another CD Design for the great pianist and granddaughter Tina,
who wishes the CD cover to show one of my photographs from the series “Seesicht”.
Portrait: Morten Krogvold

The cover design for the ’Ki’ CD by Werner Lüdi.
In martial arts the word ’Ki’ means energy.
In this case, it refers to the product which also includes the Swiss musician’s tour to six Japanese towns, when the energy of his sax fused with the jazz of local musicians. An example of CD design with a high ’Ki’ content.

By rights, this all-female association should have commissioned a female designer and there are many excellent ones.
But, maybe, they thought the flock could do with a black sheep.

Sombre and profound music that also shines brightly with references to the book The Walk by Robert Walser. I knew instantly what image to give this music and I found the right picture in my collection of ’still life’ photographs.

The excellent, young pianist Tina who is also my niece in Norway. I designed the musical interlacing entwinement of Mozart and Grieg for her. In return, she recorded a CD of my piano compositions for me - a magnificent cultural exchange!
